Our Story

WE ARE
PEOPLE OF POWER.

A community-rooted LLC built on the belief that every young person has the power to change their world — and ours.

Our community

St. Louis, MO

Rooted in the 63107 — serving youth and families across the region.

How It Started

BORN FROM THE
COMMUNITY.

The story of People of Power LLC begins with a vision that took root years before the organization was founded. In 2018, founder Annie Hamilton established Precious Ways Development Center — a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual trafficking and abuse. That mission of healing, dignity, and restoration laid the foundation for everything that followed.

Building on that legacy, Annie founded People of Power LLC to extend her community impact — this time focused on youth empowerment, leadership development, mental wellness, autism advocacy, and positive community engagement for children, teens, and young adults ages 6–25.

Both organizations operate out of a historic building at 3850 Sullivan Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63107 — a building that has stood since 1899. Precious Ways Development Center occupies Unit A and People of Power LLC operates in Unit B — two distinct organizations, two community-focused missions, under one roof.

In June 2027, People of Power LLC will celebrate two milestones at once — our 8th Annual Juneteenth Celebration and the Grand Opening of People of Power LLC. A moment of freedom, community, and new beginnings.

The People Behind the Power

MEET OUR TEAM

Annie Hamilton

Founder & Executive Director

Annie Hamilton III is the Founder and Executive Director of People of Power LLC, a community-focused organization dedicated to empowering youth and young adults through mental health advocacy, autism awareness, mentorship, life skills development, and community outreach services.

Before launching People of Power LLC, Annie worked as a school teacher and basketball coach. In 2018, she founded Precious Ways Development Center, a nonprofit organization supporting victims of sexual trafficking and abuse — and it was through that work that she developed a deep passion for mentoring and guiding young people toward positive opportunities and personal growth.

In 2023, Annie survived a hemorrhagic stroke. Though still in her recovery journey, she became even more determined to grow stronger and continue serving her community with compassion, strength, and purpose. Her personal experience of recovery inspired her mission to create safe, empowering, and supportive environments for individuals and families facing life's greatest challenges.

Through leadership, community engagement, and advocacy, Annie continues working to build programs and opportunities that uplift underserved youth and young adults, strengthen families, and create lasting positive change throughout the community.

Annie holds a Behavioral Health Support Certification and is CPR Certified. She is currently pursuing additional online training in Mental Health and Youth Mentorship Advocacy — continuing to grow her knowledge and skills in service of the community she loves.
